A sloper is a very basic apparel pattern without style lines or seam allowances that can be used at the beginning or repeatedly throughout the evolution of a style. When they are drafted to specific measurements they are personal aka custom slopers that can be used as patternmaking templates for drafting new patterns or altering other patterns to fit.
